Introducing the new SteamWise webinar series
The first major initiative under SteamWise is a new webinar series launching April 2026
Its aim is to give industrial teams in Egypt clear, practical insight into how better steam management can reduce losses, improve reliability, and support decarbonization goals.
The planned topics for 2026 reflect that mission, covering both immediate efficiency opportunities and broader system improvements.
Webinar 1: The Cost of Doing Nothing
The first webinar will focus on a challenge that cuts across sectors: the hidden cost of steam inefficiency.
The session will examine how plants can calculate the real cost of everyday losses, including:
- The cost of 1 kg of steam under different conditions
- Heat loss from an uninsulated valve
- Flash steam losses
- Leaking steam traps
- Not returning condensate
- Open bypass valves
- Losses caused by manual steam control.
